A forbearance means that for a specified time period, you are not required to make your monthly mortgage payments. Additionally, during the forbearance period, you will not be assessed late fees and negative credit reporting on your account will be suspended. If you are eligible for a forbearance, you will receive a confirmation letter in the mail confirming the Forbearance Agreement (including the forbearance period). At the end of the forbearance period, any unpaid payments will become due. At that time, you will need to either pay the amount due or contact us to discuss creating a repayment plan to bring the account current or apply for a loan modification or other loss mitigation option. If you would like to apply for a payment forbearance plan, please provide limited details as to why/how your income has been impacted by COVID-19. For example, let us know if you have experienced a loss of income or employment due to COVID-19. Upon receiving this information, we will review the account for available assistance. You may request a forbearance by sending a request through the Message Center by logging into your account. Don't have an online account?
